I remember moving into 70 Balfour Road at the end of WW2. and was fascinated by the big grey gasometer that was the only thing I could see from my back bedroom window. I was only ten at the time and loved every minute of my three year stay, before moving over to 'the other side' at the top end of Lady Margaret Road.
