Working In Streatham

A Memory of Streatham.

I worked at H E Randall shoe shop ( now part of sainsburys store) opposite the odean cinema on streatham high road and lived at 5 Kingscourt road for most of the 1960's also worked as a bus driver out of telford ave and streatham garage by the ice skating rink.I haven't been back in over 30 years but looking at streatham now through google maps its not the place I knew and loved, but I suppose time changes everything. sorry for the spelling errors not good at typing.

Hi I'm trying to help my mother find out some information about her real father and it has been said that he owned a large Italian restaurant in Stretham in the 60s I understand it's a long shot but could you possibly remember the name of the restaurant or even the mans name?

Also I know again it's alot to ask have you ever heard the name Ellen rayner, patison, Austin?? She went by these 3 different names

Hi Larissa.
I grew up in Streatham in the 70s and there were a couple of Italian restaurants very near to each other, this article from 1992 mentions the restaurants names and also the owners names.
