Fulwell House

A Memory of Tyldesley.

I was born in Squires Lane. I clearly remember the ruins of Fulwell House. (I thought it had been bombed). We used to go there & dare each there to jump into what used to be the cellar, I guess! We also played on the slag heaps and made little fires! I remember taking part in Victory celebrations at the top of Cooling Lane, I think! I have not been back for several years, when we tried to find where Nuttall's Cottages used to be and was disappointed that we just ended up in fields, without any trace.

Would anyone know the whereabouts of Dorothy Parry, who lived in Squires Lane. We used to go to the same primary school,,
St Georges in Tyldesley, she would be about the same age as me now 75yo. My email...
