Memories Of Whittlebury School.

A Memory of Whittlebury.

Well, Simon, I remember you. Your Father was a very good actor...if I'm not mistaken. After leaving Whittlebury in 1964 and via Art College -I became an actor myself under the name of "Paul Gregory" and now reside in Hollywood where I am still TRYING to work ! 51 years ago ! ...since Whittlebury, Major Meager, String Johnson ( I did like him a lot )-The Jaffas etc.God..a period piece !

My real name is Charles Greig -you might remember me ?..think we met up briefly in the West End ( Piccadilly) if I'm not mistaken ...about 1967 ?...thereabouts anyway. I agree with everything you said about the place. Useless academically but character forming for all the wrong reasons ! LOL !

If you're curious My work as an actor can be found by googling "Paul Gregory American Reels"-there are about 4 or 5 samples on the net including a showreel video.com/87842086

Enough of that. I still remember your Father's films fondly and you too.

Speak soon I hope,

Cheers, Charles ( Paul )

I also remember you Francis, though you were very young (Fair hair and not crazy about sports ?) Forgive me if I'm wrong.I was there from 1959 to 64. Charlie Greig and I ended up as Head Boy -though I'd hardly done enough to earn it and escaped expulsion by the skin of my teeth at least twice ! talk later...Charlie ( or Paul Gregory -the actor..as I'm known now ) By the way, one of my first professional acting contracts was at the Theatre Royal, Northampton Rep 1968/69 and "Spud" -Ryan the Maths master came to see me -real coincidence -and the cheeky bugger sold me some Life Insurance ! Talk soon.
