I moved to Fareham from Scotland in 1959 when I was 4 and returned in 1966, In that period I have very vivid memories, Living in Wallington, going to Fareham County Primary school. I remember West Street with the bus station across from Woolworths and Victor Value supermarket!!!!. We moved to a new house in a new estate off Peak Lane and I went to Wallisdean school. I was born in Brighton Sussex. After travelling from station to station, as my father was in the RAF (I'll miss out that part of the story), My mother Eileen,sister Shirley & I moved to Fareham after the 2nd WW, I was 9 yrs old. I returned from 2 years in Malta where I had been a Nanny to 3 little girls who were all about to go to boarding school. I needed a job quickly so applied for and got the job as an usherette in the Embassy Cinema. At the time my future husband was a second projectionist there.
