Is there any body who worked on the m/d buses gillingham depot 1967/68 time sutch a great bunch of peaple had so much fun , Bill waller was our boss , it would be so great to be in touch ,
Bill Waller was my Dad, and I have memories of his Crew Foreman office, next to the Inspectors' one. We lived at 40 Nelson Road, next to the depot, and after school, I sometimes went to his office, which had the redolent reek of tobacco smoke. He had a Conducter who worked with him, Cyril Lamberton, and I used to enjoy playing with his ticket machine.

Of course (along with many staff at the time) the best place to find them was in the staff canteen at the back of the workshops, which had a bar (great for the drivers!). The snooker tbles were brilliant.

Dad died in 2009, and some of his old colleagues came along to his funeral.
