Hounslow, Memories Of Bulstrode Girls School

A Memory of Hounslow.

I too went to Hounslow town Junior school from age 7, then on to Bulstrode Girls School. Mrs Collins was head teacher. We had Mrs Johnstone for geography, Mrs Davies for English , Mrs Balls for history, miss Hull for science, Mrs Humphreys for sewing. Mrs Tyrrell was my favourite teacher, I remember her doing the Aldermaston March. She was lovely person she took us for current affairs. Miss Newbury was cookery teacher, oh how we played her up poor lady.
I was living in Hanworth Road from birth and attended Grove Road infant school. We then moved .
From age 7 I lived in Stanley Road and spent most of the summer in Inwood Park.

My nana attended Bulstrode Girls School; and I am trying to find her school mates and reconnect her. She attended school with 3 girlfriends by the names of: Francis Tibury or Tilbury, Jennifer (unsure of last name), and Kay Isles. My Nana's unmarried name was Dawn V. Barker. I think she attended school here in the 40s or 50s?
Sorry i do g know anyone of that name. Try the Bulstrode School group, i have found several old classmates on there. Good luck
I went to Bulstrode School in the 60s. My name was Denise Williamson, my friends were Linda Matthews, Denise Harding & Christine Bowden, teachers were Mr Green (RE) Miss Hazzard / Tony Davies (music) David Rylance (English/drama)
My name is Pamela Davies, Mrs Tyrrell she was indeed a lovely lady I remember her teaching us about the Torrey Canyon oil disaster, I also remember miss Hazzard who threatened me with the cane in a music lesson, different times, and Mr stribley head of the school was also a very caring man he was kind when I broke my collar bone and i went to school with my arm in a sling
I would love to hear from Rajbant Randhowa she told me she changed her name to Chris Race when she came to visit me a very long time ago. We used to go everywhere together until i moved from Hounslow to Plymouth I was very sad to leave her behind, I still remember waving goodbye from the back of my Mums car, I'd love it if she would get in touch. My maiden Pamela Davies now Zenklusen
