Suffolk memories
Like my sister Jayne, I also remember many happy times at the Lodge and the farm. My brother, sister and I would spend hours looking for and playing with all the stray cats and kittens on the farm, sitting in warm barns on bales of hay. lovely! Around about the time this pic was taken, I was 5 years old and my nan used to live in a house to the left of the picture. Friday luncheons at Tillys from Jean Ryder

Andrew Lindborg - My Grandfather
I have a copy of this postcard myself - the family kept it as the leading horse (on the left, closest to the camera is being ridden by my grandfather - Andrew Lindborg.
The copy that I have is coloured, somewhat artificially.

I worked in racing stables in Exeter Road. Bury St Edmunds Town and City Memories
This shows the early 16th-century nave and aisle designed by John Wastell, the architect of King's College, Cambridge. Sir George Scott designed the hammer-beam roof and the chancel (1865-69). The chancel was demolished in the 1960s, when the new choir and crossing were begun. The building of the central crossing tower is now under way, and should be completed in 2003.... [more]
