This elegant little suspension or 'swing bridge' over the River Derwent is a pleasing feature of the Plain of York village of Huttons Ambo, near Malton.
Polar bears, brown bears and black bears were all kept in the same rather basic enclosure at the Flamingo Zoo Park at Kirby Misperton, between York and Malton, when this picture was taken.
The small hamlet of Swinton, west of Malton on the B1257, above the wide valley of the River Rye, was completely deserted when the Frith photographer called on a summer's day.
