More about this scene
This tower is on the north-east corner of the fortress's inner wall. The D-shaped tower was much rebuilt in Charles II's reign, when it was made the Jewel Tower. This was the scene in 1671 of Colonel Thomas Blood's abortive attempt to steal the Crown Jewels.
