i lived in ferrers ave in 1960 to 1978 great times with wren fish @chip van and the vegy cart which came on satursday morning and giving the horse call gipsie and apple and going on milk round with bob maze great time im eric matzk we had a big family mum was edey dad was bert love to here from any one who knows us
My family moved to Ferrers Avenue in the late 50's and I still remember most of the people who lived there. In the days before both sides were cluttered up with parked cars we would play rounders using 4 trees as posts, all the children and a some of their parents would take part. Chips from the van and fizzy drinks from the Corona lorry to finish the week. Good times. I do wish they wouldn't cut the trees back like ...see more
