More about this scene

At one time, flocks of sheep and herds of cattle congregated at Tregaron ready for the long walk to England. However, the town continued to serve as a market place for livestock for many years. After this practice ceased Ffair Caron was held for three days in March, while there were sheep fairs in June and September and hiring fairs in November. Here, farmers smartly dressed in three-piece suits follow one of the flocks to market.
