Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

I was at Collingwood Preparatory from 1963-66. To say it was strict would be an immense understatement. It was brutal. John Richardson beat me on the hand with a ruler for getting poor marks in a maths test. As we completed our corrections, Richardson walked round the class with "Rosey" a red stick. I got to 7x=7 therefore x =. He was standing over me with "Rosey" and I wrote the answer x=7. That was it. ...see more
I went to Collingwood when Mrs Ingham was the head. The corporal punishment was at times severe. Another boy who was left handed was beaten and made to write with his right one. We played football in Beddington Park - where is Mellows?
When I attended Collingwood School for boys aged 7 to 11 we used to play football and cricket at Mellows Park, and I clearly remember going into the tea rooms many times to get a bun and a bottle of pop after practice. The Headmaster John Richardson was the best head I had throughout my entire schooling, very fair but firm.
