The tall building on the right was refronted about 1920 and Henry Chilton was replaced by the 1930s Midland Bank, stone faced and Moderne, now the HSBc bank.
Blackstone Rock, a great outcrop of sandstone rising sheer from the river, is shrouded with trees.
Other nature trails in the district are Blackstone Riverside Park, Bewdley; Hartlebury Common at Stourport-on-Severn; Habberley Valley Nature Reserve; and Kingsford Forest Park.
The church, rebuilt in 1769-77, contains the tomb of Sir William Blackstone, Oxford's first professor of law, who presented St Peter's with a clock from Horseguards in London.
This building is still standing in Town Street, and was built in the early 1880s in local stone quarried at Golden Bank. Stone
