Happy Days

Not exact on the dates but went to Lowestoft from Norwich on the steam train for our annual day out by the seaside. We saw the Punch & Judy, watched the men fish off the quay and went to the Kensington gardens (?) for a ride on the motor boats. There was then a long walk at the time to get back to the station after a lovely day out.

RE: RE: Happy Days

I loved the photo of The Punch and Judy Show, I lived in Lowestoft during the 1950s and have wonderful memories of those days on the beach! When I was taken there by Nana, I could have a newspaper bag full of chips for three pence or ride the bus home to Somerton Avenue. I always chose the chips.

RE: RE: Happy Days

Oh yes, I remember one road back from the prom was a road where we got fish and chips as a treat, happy days.
