I have just viewed many beautiful online pictures of old Rochdale. My memories only go back to the 1960's when I started work there but my mother shared her memories of days back to the 1920's or so. What a town to be proud of in the old days and what proud people Rochdalians were. I wish the same could be said of the town nowadays. So sad what has happened. Just to say thank you for the 3 framed pictures of old Pontefract, they are lovely just as I wanted and very quick delivery. I am retiring from 48 years in the NHS and I am donating them to the ward at Pontefract Hospital where I worked as a Nurse. They will be delighted and will cheer up many patients that remember that era.
