Old Days!
A Memory of Acton.
I lived in Tudor Gardens West Acton, having been evacuated during the war.
I attended West Acton infants school, then John Perrin Junior school followed by John Perrin Secondary ModernSenior School.
I Started Senior School in 1952. It was "dreadful" The reason was being bullied nearly every day. I could not wait to leave. I remember many of the people that attended with me. To name a few:- Les Allum, Brian Ratcliffe, Keith Mowbery(I think).Joseph Benavaniste, Roy Keen & David Harris.. Maureen Level, Pat Jones, Valery Childs. We were the first group to go to the "NEW School" located at Bromyard Avenue. It was a joy not to go to three different locations for lessons. I left at Christmas 1956 at the ripe old age of 15 What a relief. In 1957 I joined the RN for 7 years.
