As old age comes on I find looking at times gone by interesting , it does not seem to be something we take interest in when growing up, as the old story ask your relatives question about their life. Happy Christmas, keep the photos coming.

Hello lovely people, Oh my god! My frame arrived! It is my favourite picture of Walton on the naze village. I was so excited to see the picture amongst your selection and promised myself a frame. I fell in love with the village on holiday and consequently chose to travel from London to get married there. This item has made me soooo happy. Thank you very much for the excellent, prompt service and delivery of my order. It's a gift for my father's 94th birthday next month, hence the search for a photograph of somewhere in Plymouth (he was born there and always lived there) from the year 1925. I am sure he is going to be delighted with the gift; it's always so difficult to find something "different" for a gift when somebody has attained that age and has everything! Much appreciated.

I was just searching for a photograph of a shop that my Grandfather and Father ran at 7 Bridge Street, Wye. Great to find one. My family ran the paper shop from 1962 until I think the Kettles took over. I can't be sure of the end date as both my Grandfather and father have now passed. I can remember living there as a young boy (from age of 4). I also remember the shop being flooded when the river broke it banks. I thought I would just share this with you. I have been back a number of times since and it is great to find your site

I was very excited to see this on your website to buy. My parents owned the village shop in the picture from the late 1950's (not sure what date) until 1965 when I was just under 2 years old. They sold your postcards in their shop and I still have some tucked away somewhere. They obviously were very involved in village life although both are now deceased. They used to talk very fondly about their time in Wetheral and the village characters. Thank you for making my Christmas with being able to purchase this item.
