I used to catch the bus every day to go to school in Weybourne from Cove. It seemed to take ages waiting in the rain for the Cove Bus. If I missed the bus to All Hallows School in Weybourne I had to walk all the way instead!

The ABC song certainly brought back memories of my regular Saturday morning trips to the pictures in the late 1940s and early 50s. My son Thor had a branchial cyst removed when he was about 20 months old. The staff were wonderful. I stayed in the hospital all the time and beds were made available for the mums. For our meals we would cross over the road to go to the army canteen and the food was incredible. My son soon made a speedy recovery.
