In 1904, Winchester Street became Winchester Road, where houses ceased and countryside began. Here the picture was taken with Old Winton Road behind on the right. Mr Wheeler on the left recovered umbrellas and chairs and repaired them. Except for the Lamb Inn in the distance, none of these buildings remained after the 1970s.
