More about this scene
The King's Head is one of Aylesbury's architectural treasures; it is tucked away off the Market Square. This view shows the 15th-century great hall window, ten lights wide with arched upper lights. Some original glass survives, including armorial glass with the coat of arms of Henry VI and Margaret of Anjou, which dates from 1456: a remarkable and rare survival amid the bustle of an inn through over five and half centuries.
