More about this scene
This fine view of the Howden Dam, with the forbidding moorland of Bleaklow beyond, is taken from Abbey Bank, on the edge of the Howden Moors. The Howden Dam was built between 1901 and 1912 and was the first in the series of three in the Derwent Valley to be completed.
