More about this scene
To the north of Morecambe is the quieter sea front of Bare. The promenade guesthouses and private hotels enjoy superb views across the bay to Lancashire over Sands and the southern Lake District. Once little more than a fishing village, the area became popular as a sea-bathing resort during the mid 19th century after the arrival of the railway.
