Barry Island, The Promenade And Gardens 1925

More about this scene
Rows of bathing huts line the beach, with bathing costumes (which could be hired) drying in the wind on lines behind them beside the newly-built promenade. Before the 1920s bathers had been segregated, with the ladies and small children at the Friars Point end and men at the Nells Point end.
