A Memory of Battersea.
Hello,
I was a pupil at SWSJ during the 60's as shown above. It seems a few lifetimes ago now, in many ways that is for the good. Good group of friends, some well intentioned teachers, but on the whole I'm afraid to say I found the education I received there disappointing and in some cases brutal.
I spent most of my later career in Education and this only served to confirm my view of my 'stolen' years.
My thanks to the teachers that were trying to do a decent job and to my friends that made it at least bearable.

Now that is a name I remember from the past. Thank you so much for getting in touch. I am away from home at the moment, my first away vacation in a while! So I shall reply at greater length when I return. I just wanted to let you know I appreciate the comment and the contact. Glad that you have found memories of the old school.
