More about this scene
This view into the Whitebread Hole, a combe east of Beachy Head and south of Holywell, is no longer grazed by sheep; its flat areas are manicured into football pitches. The ridge behind is now wholly covered in thorn scrub, as there are few sheep to keep the downland cropped.
