More about this scene

Bricks have been made here since the 19th century. In 1930, the Sussex & Dorking Brick Co, who specialised in hand- made bricks, opened a large brickworks. It was taken over by the Redland Group in 1958. Beare Green bricks form the unusual 'Brick Knot' sculpture that can be seen in the centre of Reigate.
