My family the Smiths lived at Pollocks cottages down the Faggs road and when I was born in 1942 we lived there till about 1950 when we moved to the houses opposite where the fire station is now because of the building of the causeway. Is Southfield infants school still on bedfont lane I was there in 1959 then when we moved to peacock Ave I joined fairholme juniors my teacher was called miss Germainy I think does anyone remember!.
