Desperate To Find My Grandad Jack Price And Siblings

A Memory of Bedlinog.

I visited Bedlinog during the late 1960's when my Grandmother Elsie Price (ne Phillips) would travel from Windsor Road, Edwardsville with me and my identical twin sister Jane to visit my grandfather Jack's family. We used to spend all our school holidays with my grandparents and have many memories of Edwardsville, but I have few memories of Bedlinog, I think thats due to our young age and also during the visits we stayed in the house rather being allowed to explore the village.
Sadly my twin sister Jane died earlier this year. I'm planning a trip to Edwardsville on 9th September, Just me and my dog and my aim is to meet any relatives that I have left if the valley's.

I remember my grandmother always told us we had to be quiet when Grandad came home as he was very tired after working and would go to bed. He always wore a hat and smoked a pipe (one of which I asked for when he died). I attended the funeral which was held, I think in a Chapel but I don't know where. And I have no photographs of him although I can see him clearly in my minds eye.
I remember he used to send us to the shop with some money to get 1oz of black and treat us to a bottle of pop. He used to take us on wonderful walks down the tram road and also up the Gap, he'd tell us all about the fauna and flora as we walked and this has left me with a deep love of the countryside and also very proud of my Welsh heritage. He'd go the The Western in Edwardsville and the Club (not sure where that was). He had his own chair in the back kitchen, which was beautiful wood and the head rest always smelled of Brillcream. Jane and I used to argue as we always wanted to sit in his chair while he was out.

I have been given the following information about my Grandad:
Jack Price (not sure if official records have Jack or John)
He was born 20 November 1890 and died in 1987/88
He married Elsie Phillips approximately 1921
and lived at 11 Windsor Road, Edwardsville, Glam
They had five girls which unfortunately are no longer with us

Peggy (my mother who had four girls -- Sharon, Allison and twins Elizabeth and Jane)
Lavinia
Sylvia
Joyce
Avril

He was a colliery worker (Underground) and was still employed during my early visits although I think he may have been a maintenance worker above ground.
He was the eldest son and had the following siblings:
Alfred
Walter
Bob who married Sailing and I think he was in the Welsh Guards
Reggie who married Claudia
Voilet -- who had Keith and Cheryl (Both of which I met and adored Cheryl for her beauty and thought Keith was very good looking)
Annie who married Harry who had three daughters and moved Sheffield

If anyone can help me in my search please get in touch, and would happily meet up during my visit. There is so much that I don't know and dearly wish to leave a historical legacy for the next generation, and find out more about my beloved Grandad and my Welsh ancesters.
