Growing Up In 1970's Berko
A Memory of Berkhamsted.
We moved to Berkhamsted around 1968 when I was 5 years old. I went to Westfield school. After that I went to Thomas Bourne School, in the first year we had to do a couple of days a week at North Church school due to too many pupils. After that Ashlyns, which I hated but survived.
My Dad, Bill was a monumental mason and we lived above the funeral directors, Malcolm Jones at 368 high street. My Mum Peggy ran the office of the funeral director. I have very fond memories of growing up in Berkhamsted.
I last visited about 10 years ago, many changes but many things have not changed.
Now live in far North New South Wales Australia since 2006
