This image is a Reference Print: it has not been shown on our website before as it has not been optimised and therefore may not meet the quality standards we require for use in our normal product range. However, we understand that this image could be potentially important for genealogical, local history or architectural research and so we are showing it on the website for on-line research only. The photo may be available to buy, but needs to be checked and optimised before you can place an order.

Why are these different? All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

l was raised in this village in "50 and 60" and had great times, Now most of my family move on since my parents passed away, Sometime l come back and walk round to remember the times, but l see old Ghosts from the past. l believe my grandfather and his brother used to work in the Blacksmith, and my grandparent used to live on Salford Road opp the old timber yard. Now l live near Bromsgrove in another village, but it not the same as the old village l was raised in. John
MY NIECE USED TO LIVE NEAR THE CHURCH AND MY MOTHER STAYED THERE ON MANY OCCATIONS. MY MUM WOULD TAKE HER GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER FOR A WALK AROUND THE CHURCH AND SIT ON THE BENCH AT THE REAR OVERLOOKING THE RIVER. NOW MY MUM'S ASHES ARE BURIED JUST IN FRONT OF THE BENCH.
Somebody going to the pub. well this is Bidford. Masons Arms on the left and The White Lion on the right. My parents, Alick and Iris, ran 'The Anglo' from 1969 to 1987. Too many memories to recount. What a fantastic 18 years we had!!!!! Anybody remember 'The Bidford Triangle'? THE ANGLO, THE LION AND THE BOAT( The Pleasure Boat) First house on the left is now the road to the roundabout with the bridge on the right.
My nan and grandad Tom and Mary Edkins ran the fishermans rest in the mid 50s where my great grandfather uncle geoff and my dad lived. That could well be Geoff or my dad going in !!!!!!
