More about this scene
This quiet village is tucked away in the Essex lanes about four miles north of Brentwood. It is chiefly known for its 15th-century church belfry, constructed in timber in three stages. The shop is still the hub of the village, but the man on his bike and the lack of traffic speak of a now bygone age.
