Why are these different? All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

Bert Belli was my Dads brother,we met him once when I was very young.My Dad was Tony Belli and lived in the Isle of Man.Dad saw Bert just before he passed away and Dad himself lived until he was 90 and died in 2010.Has anyone any memories of Bert,Mary and the children or any photos of the cafe,now long gone I presume. CAN ANYONE HELP ME IM TRYING TO FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT A FAMILY CALLED EVANS IVOR AND KATE THEY DAUGHTER CALLED PAM AND SON MERTON THEY LIVED IN THE DINGLE THEN HEATHER COTTAGE IN WAENAVON IVOR WAS KNOWN AS CHINER ALSO A FAMILY CALLED WATKINS SARAH THEY HAD TWO SHOPS A SWEET SHOP AND A HAIR DRESSERS. I WAS TOLD THAT THE HOUSE IN THE DINGLE HAD A LARGE ROCK FALL DOWN ON IT AND KILL SOME ONE , LATER IT BURNT DOWN / I WOULD BE VERY GREAT FULL IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME THANKS
I have lovely memories of visiting my mothers family in blaenavon in the 70,s has a small child ,my mothers family seemed huge the were the David family it was a lovely place all so friendly ,my mothers family lived at elgam avenue originally ,I know that my grandmother was killed in a bus crash and my grandfather passed away not long after ,we still have some family left over there and recently I visited the cemetery that m grandmother is buried in,lovely place and lively people
I was born & bred in Blaenavon in 1966 till 1980, the year we sadly had to move. We lived at Lion Street, Avon Road then Riverside Drive in Blaenavon. I remember Avon Road & Riverside Drive; too young to remember Lion Street. My nan & gramps & dad lived in Elgam Avenue, also a few relatives. I loved living in Blaenavon, I remember the heavy & deep snow we used to have and the carnivals ...see more
