A Memory of Blaenllechau.

blaen has always been special to me as it is the first thing you see when you walk into the house as mountain row is immediately above the railway station in ferndale and the big tip is above ferndale on the llanwonno road it used to be a busy community but the school and post office has closed??????????? you had to go thru blaen from mountain ash from ynyswbwl from ponty short cut shame now kids have to go miles as ferndale juniors closed as well as north road infants which was a new school though the mp wont be pushing any kids 3 miles up hill in the rain wind snow ferndale is still busy as blaen is the first thing you see when you get off the bus and they still have a bus service which drops you by the new pub as the stupid mps and government closed down a perfectly good station 50 years ago easy to walk to end of street literaly 100 yards nice warm dry now as 40 years ago people when i started my first job in echo having to wait 1 1/2 for bus in pouring rain snow as bus was full leaving maerdy still traumatised now 40 years later as the other dinas valley still had their trains???????????gran never went out of the house when the trains finished people need local services as mother has to go to ferndale 4 her pension on the bus as she cant climb steep hill thanks goverment wrecked many lives as in america the mountain will live
