More about this scene
Standing on the fringes of the Norfolk marshes, Blakeney, like Cley, once knew busier days. Its capacious natural harbour, protected from the sea by the long spit of sand, Blakeney Point, attracted coastal trading vessels until the early years of this century. The landscape offers birdwatchers an irresistible mixture of dunes, saltings, mudflats and creeks.
