More about this scene
The New Bear Hotel, left, is now Silver Street House, having been restored by Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust in 1977. Pevsner describes it somewhat lyrically for him: 'On the first floor, a nice rhythm of window pediments and niches'. At the centre of the photograph is E Hunt the draper's; still with the railings, it is now CR Timber Associates.
