Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

The Bradford Exhibition of 1904 stimulated the laying-out of this former country estate. As well as a Somali Village, the Exhibition also contained a switchback railway and also a water chute, which cascaded into this lake. These fairground rides had previously been used at three other exhibitions; they later went to the 1907 exhibition in Dublin. Today, the park is a wonderful oasis away from busy Manningham Lane.

Memories Of Bradford 1943 1966
memory of a very wealthy city. Beautiful shops- Brown Muffs, busbys, claydons, mathias robinson. Barclays bank international division was in Bradford but not in Leeds because the overseas dealings with all wool merchants and textile manufacturers meant foreign transfers and foreign money meant demands in expertise in the busiest city. Annesley Mount, Little Horton Lane, Bradford
I recall other far more sinister events which took place at number 82 Annesley Mount. I first became aware of these events in 1953 when the Sunday night discussion took on a hushed and serious tone. My understanding increased as the story was re-told in later years. The Polish priest who lived at the end of our row had disappeared. Annesley Mount, Little Horton Lane, Bradford
I recall living at my grandparents' house at Annesley Mount from 1960 - 1966. .A formidable character lived at number 88 Annesley Mount, known to my grandparents as Parson Bullock. He shared the house with his wife and a lodger called Doris. He was the minister of a large Unitarian church in the centre of the city near Brown Muff’s. Central House, Forster Square Bradford
Worked on the 5th/6th floor of Central House for several years in the late 60s /early 70s for the Inland Revenue. The 7th floor was occupied by Commercial Union Insurance Company and the 3rd and 4th floors by Bradford Council. The building was largely glass and single glazed leading it to be far too hot in summer and too cold in winter. If you opened the windows it was very noisy from the traffic ...see more

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
