Return To Braintree

Thanks Bill for update on Braintree where I lived c.1950 and attended Bocking End Primary School/The Institute School. I have an extract from Miss Jessie B Thompson's Diary (copyright) and have responded with several pupils who were there when I attended the schools. I emigrated to NZ 1966 and have not returned to Braintree since 1988. Apparently there are all kinds of ring roads and overpasses these days toward Gatwick/Stansted Airports!!

I know this is perhaps a long shot so to write! Do you know of or whereabouts of: Colin Johnson who responded on this website mid last year but did not supply a direct email address and Pat Hale (my recent email to Pat at nitrex.net was returned undeliverable)

Hello Diana,nice to receive your email via Francis Frith.WE have just returned from holiday in the Uk where I still have a brother & sister living in Braintree.Co-incidentally I think that Colin Johnson was my brother in laws best man,he used to play football for Black Notley & lives now in Cheshire.He has family in Aussie where he holidays fairly often & think that somewhere I will have a photo of him.If you think this is the same guy by all means come back to me & I will obtain his email address for you.My email is bill-ann@actrix.co.nz my brother in law was Andrew Shuttlewood who is now aged 72
