Yvonne Veronica Anne Drake Married A Chafai (Moroccan) In Bristol In 1965
A Memory of Bristol.
Hi, Does anyone remember a young woman born in 1943 called Yvonne Veronica Anne Drake who was working in a ladies clothing store in Bristol in 1965. Her dad was Peter Frank Drake, an Englishman serving in the RCAF in England and Canada. She married Tahar Chafai, a young Moroccan born 1941, on Dec 7, 1965 in Bristol, England. There is also a marriage record for Taunton, Somerset but that may be in error. Young Chafai was in the leather goods business along with his father Ahmed. They are listed on the marriage certificate as owning a shop. Tahar lived on Somerset Rd. The witnesses were John Henry Edward Drinkwater born 1930 who married a Jean Vowles. Also Reginald Bernard Alderwick born 1899. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks so much.
