More about this scene
The lanes from Bentham lead on to the A46, behind the photographer. Cheltenham is six miles away. This is an early shot of the Crosshands roundabout at Brockworth. The roundabout now houses a large public house and a Shell garage. The old Roman road, Ermin Street, is a right turn off this roundabout. Coopers Hill looms in the distance, the site of the annual cheese-rolling races.
