But for the dress of the visitors, this picture might have been taken 60 years earlier. At the top of the street is St Paul's Church, there since 1230, but considerably rebuilt in the middle of the 19th century. By Bull Beck Bridge is the Black Bull Inn, where a cat sits beside a boot-scraper, perhaps waiting for opening time?
