More about this scene
The south façade of the house is built in the 17th-century English Renaissance style, with pedimented bays overlooking a terrace and lawn to a lake below. In 1722, Francis Fane of Bristol bought the house; his descendants restored and opened it to visitors during the 1970s and 80s. It has since been sold again, and is now closed to the public.
