More about this scene
The Master Builder's House, now an hotel, was built by Henry Adams so that he might cut a dash on ship-launching days. In those days, when piles of seasoning timber would line the streets, Adams entertained two kings of England in his house. The business failed when Adams and his brother were late building four ships for the Admiralty.
