My Grandma and Grandad lived in a tied cottage in Budby, and I spent many happy times there when I was a little girl. Uncle worked as a cabinet maker for Thoresby Estate. He and aunty lived in a tied-cottage in the village which Lady Manvers visited occasionally. I met her twice in my lifetime.
