Bulphan, Fen Lane c.1955

More about this scene
The second element of Bulphan's name is the word 'fen'. A R Hope Moncrieff, writing in 1909, described Bulphan Fen as 'a flat of woods and pastures that are at worst characteristic, and at the best pleasantly and solitarily rustic'. It is still a world of long, straight field-paths and right-angled lanes.
