Caldercruix

A Memory of Caldercruix.

I grew up with my family in the prefabs in Moss Ave. these were days when you could leave your door unlocked and everyone knew one another. As children we played in the street , there were few cars around we played from morning till dusk remembering some of the Mothers coming out to join in a game of jumping ropes, peever or hide n seek , I had 2 pet rabbits and used to pick dandelions from an elderly neighbours garden ,,before some neighbour cut her grass. One Winter in the early 60,s the coalman could not get into the village with his lorry due to heavy snow, we burnt everything we could until we got coal .
