About 1949/50 I was 10.The ponds had dried up because there was no water coming from the spring in the corner where the Grove entrance met the High Street.
There used to be a set of steps that went down into the pond at that point.If my memory is right they were wrought iron. I say this because in the light of later experience I know the difference between cast & wrought iron.Anyway we,my brother John & I & ...see more
