Isaac And Margretta Griffiths

A Memory of Cefneithin.

Isaac And Margretta Griffiths lived in Cefneithin, (Dyfed) in Tabor Villa on Carmarthen Road until 1939. From there they ended up living in West Bromwich in the West Midlands. As far as i understand it was my granfather, David Glanmor Griffiths, who set off on his bicycle in search of work. He ended up in the Midlands and secured work. He then met my grandmother Eileen and had three children, my mother Margaret Anita, and my uncles David and Peter. I'm assuming that not long after my grandfater settled in the midlands the rest of my family followed. Margrette and Isaac had one girl Mary, who died very young, and my uncles, Elfed, Roy, Luther, Ieuan. I have the family bible, and some information and dates written in the front of it. Pleaseget in touch if you are either a relative or have information on this subject.

I was born in Cefneithin in 1946 and lived right next door to the park. I am also a Vaughan. There were two Vaughan families in Cefneithin but not related as far as I'm aware. My father worked at Great Mountain colliery in Tumble. I went to the local Primary School and then the Gwendraeth. I now live in Cwmbran, Gwent.
