More about this scene
Entering the village from Clitheroe, the road dips to cross Heys Brook. Beyond Martin's Bank and the shops is the Black Bull Inn, which carries a date stone of 1855. A little way beyond, set back from the road, is the Brown Cow. Notice the Belisha crossing, they got their name from the minister of transport who introduced them in 1934.
