Chelmsford, The Tower Gardens 1925

More about this scene
The Gardens took their name from a water tower that formerly stood here. Today they accommodate cricket pitches, a bowling green and formal gardens, as well as tennis. Since 1939, Tower Gardens have also been home to the former Conduit, after its removal from Springfield Road corner. It now stands on the left, where the shelter was.
